On December 18th and 19th 2009, the Hotel Finca Malaguilla in Malaguilla, (Guadalajara) was the venue for the “Conference on the Red-Legged Partridge” organised by Grupo Altube. The first day consisted of a technical talk given by Javier Cañón, (Professor at the Complutense University in Madrid), followed by a presentation by Patxi Garmendia, (Founder of Grupo Altube), with both speakers generating a lively debate among those present. During the conference, Patxi Garmendia, inventor of the slogan that defines the future of partridges as “Wild grandchildren from wild grandmothers”, once more made the media appreciate the efforts being done in the world of the red-legged partridge. The following day, the media was able to see the fruit of this hard work when they enjoyed a day’s hunting on the delightful reserve surrounding the hotel – managed in exemplary fashion by Grupo Altube.
